Client Coaching Agreement & Liability Waiver
(For Glimmer & Bloom Somatic Coaching – Sole Trader)
Purpose
This agreement outlines the shared understanding between Glimmer & Bloom Somatic Coaching (“the Coach”) and the Client for the provision of coaching services. It ensures clarity, safety, and mutual respect in our work together.
1. Nature and Scope of Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative process designed to support awareness, self-regulation, and personal growth. It may include reflective dialogue, somatic exploration, and guided practices to reconnect mind and body.
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, or crisis intervention and should not replace these services. The Client remains responsible for their own wellbeing, decisions, and actions.
2. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Information shared in sessions is confidential except where required by law (e.g., risk of harm, safeguarding, or court order).
Session notes, if taken, are securely stored in line with UK GDPR. Information will never be shared without the Client’s explicit consent.
3. Boundaries & Professional Ethics
The Coach follows the ethical standards and core competencies recognised by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), including professionalism, integrity, respect, and confidentiality.
The relationship is collaborative and non-hierarchical. The Coach’s role is to facilitate discovery and growth, not to diagnose, prescribe, or direct personal decisions.
4. Client Health & Responsibility
The Client confirms they are mentally and physically able to participate safely in coaching. If this changes, they will notify Glimmer & Bloom before continuing.
The Client accepts full responsibility for their wellbeing and any actions or outcomes arising from coaching.
5. Payment, Cancellations & Rescheduling
Payment is due in full at booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cancellations and rescheduling follow the policy relevant to the service purchased (1:1 session, bundle, or group coaching).
Late cancellations, missed sessions, or non-attendance are considered completed and non-refundable.
6. Session Format & Availability
Sessions are primarily online via secure video platform. In-person sessions may be arranged for ongoing clients upon mutual agreement and are subject to availability.
Each session lasts up to one hour unless otherwise specified. If a client feels complete before the full hour, the session may end early and will count as completed.
7. Interruptions & Emergencies
If a session is disrupted due to events beyond either party’s control (e.g., power or internet outage, emergency), the Coach will make reasonable efforts to continue or reschedule.
Depending on the time lost, the session may be rescheduled, extended, or partially credited at the Coach’s discretion.
8. Feedback & Grievances
If the Client is dissatisfied with the coaching process, they agree to communicate this directly so adjustments can be made to ensure a supportive and effective experience.
9. Respectful Participation
All sessions, individual or group, are intended to be safe, respectful, and supportive.
Disruptive, harmful, or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. The Coach may pause or end a session if behaviour compromises safety or wellbeing. No refund or compensation will be provided in such cases.
10. International & Jurisdictional Terms
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. For international sessions, both parties agree to abide by these terms under UK law.
11. Liability Waiver
The Coach provides services in good faith and, as a sole trader, accepts no liability for outcomes, injuries, or losses arising from participation, except where required by law.
12. Agreement & Consent
By booking a session with Glimmer & Bloom Somatic Coaching, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms of this Coaching Agreement & Liability Waiver.
Ticking the agreement box during the booking process constitutes informed digital consent and is considered legally binding.
