Hi. I'm Allie, Your Somatic Coach
For Cardiff University staff. Want this for your organisation? Get in touch.
Somatic coaching gives you a confidential, practical space that is genuinely yours. This isn’t about assessing your performance, fixing you, or giving you tasks, tests, or wellbeing exercises to complete. Instead of only talking things through, we also pay attention to what is happening in your body and nervous system, helping you notice emotions, patterns, and needs that can be easy to miss when you are just trying to keep going. We work with what is actually going on for you, so you can get support with overwhelm, difficult dynamics, confidence, boundaries, or anything else making work or life feel harder than it needs to.

How to Get the Most From Your Session
Sometimes it can help to think of somatic coaching as a bit of an emotional MOT.
Bring whatever feels most worth looking at. It can be big or small, work-related or personal, clear or completely messy. You do not need to have it figured out, but it helps to have something in mind.
You might choose to explore one thing across multiple sessions, something different each time, or simply use the space to get things off your chest and see what is asking for attention.
The focus is not on forcing an outcome. It is on noticing what is really going on underneath the noise, so you can leave with more clarity, confidence, and a better sense of what you need next.
For the session, try to have:
-
a quiet, private space
-
somewhere you can speak openly
-
a reliable internet connection
-
a way to take notes, if useful
You do not need to know how to do this. Just bring yourself, and something worth exploring.
